Landoll & Lowboy Transport Throughout Michigan and the Midwest
Specialized Hauling for Vehicles, Heavy Equipment, Containers and Oversized Loads
Moving heavy, oversized or difficult-to-load equipment requires the right trailer, experienced operators and careful planning. Goch & Sons Towing provides professional hauling and transport services for commercial vehicles, construction machinery, industrial equipment, storage containers and other specialized loads.
Based in Detroit, we provide equipment transport throughout Southeast Michigan. For Landoll and lowboy transport, equipment hauling and specialized transportation services, we also respond to calls throughout Michigan and the Midwest when needed.
Equipment Transport & Specialized Hauling
Goch & Sons has the equipment and experience to transport loads that cannot be handled by a standard towing vehicle or conventional trailer. Professional Landoll Services
Goch & Sons uses specialized Landoll trailers to load and transport vehicles, machinery, containers and other difficult loads. Landoll trailers are similar to single-drop or step-deck trailers, but they offer the additional capabilities of hydraulically sliding axles and a tilting lower deck.
As the trailer’s axles move forward, the rear of the trailer lowers until it rests on the ground. This creates a reduced loading angle, allowing vehicles and equipment to be driven onto the trailer or pulled into position using the Landoll’s hydraulic winch.
The tilting deck provides an approximately 14-degree loading angle. This also allows containers and skid-mounted equipment to be carefully slid off the trailer when they arrive at their destination.
Versatile Transport for Difficult Loads
Our Landoll Services can be used for a wide range of difficult towing and transport needs, including:
- Oversize loads
- Vehicle transportation
- Mining equipment
- Military vehicles
- Forklifts and man lifts
- Cars, trucks and commercial vehicles
- Loaders and small excavators
- 20- and 40-foot storage containers
- Disabled trucks and cars
- Construction and industrial equipment
- Railroad equipment
- Skid-mounted equipment
Why Use a Landoll Trailer?
The low loading angle and hydraulic winch make Landoll trailers especially useful for equipment that cannot be loaded onto a traditional flatbed or step-deck trailer. They can accommodate disabled vehicles, low-clearance machinery and equipment at locations without a loading dock or portable ramp.
A Landoll trailer may be an effective transportation option when:
- The vehicle or equipment cannot be safely driven
- The load has limited ground clearance
- No loading dock or ramp is available
- The equipment must be winched onto the trailer
- A container or skid-mounted load must be slid into position
- The load is too large or specialized for standard towing equipment
Lowboy Equipment Transport
Goch & Sons also provides lowboy transport for large, heavy and tall equipment. The low deck height provides additional overhead clearance, making lowboy trailers well suited for machinery that may be too tall or heavy for other transport equipment.
Lowboy transport may be used for:
- Excavators and loaders
- Construction machinery
- Mining equipment
- Industrial machinery
- Heavy and oversized equipment
- Specialty vehicles and equipment
Our team evaluates the equipment’s dimensions, weight, configuration and condition to determine whether a Landoll or lowboy trailer is the appropriate option.
Construction, Mining & Industrial Equipment Transport
Contractors, equipment companies, manufacturers, mining operations and industrial facilities rely on Goch & Sons to transport heavy equipment safely and efficiently. We can move machinery between job sites, repair facilities, equipment yards, commercial properties and other authorized destinations.
Our team evaluates the size, weight, condition and configuration of the equipment before dispatching. This helps ensure that the appropriate trailer, towing vehicle and loading method are selected for the move.
Storage Container Transport
Goch & Sons provides pickup, transport and delivery for 20- and 40-foot storage containers. The tilting deck and hydraulic winch of a Landoll trailer allow many containers and skid-mounted loads to be pulled onto the trailer and carefully slid off at the destination.
When requesting container transport, please tell our team the container size, whether it is loaded or empty, its approximate weight and the conditions at both the pickup and delivery locations.
Vehicle & Fleet Transport
Our Landoll and lowboy transport services are available for commercial fleets, automotive businesses, equipment dealers, contractors and other organizations that need vehicles or machinery transported between locations.
We can also assist with disabled trucks, cars and equipment that cannot be safely driven or transported using a conventional tow truck. Corporate and shop accounts may be available for businesses that require recurring, scheduled or priority hauling and transport services.
Oversize & Specialty Hauling
Large or unusually configured loads may require additional planning before they can be transported. Our team considers the load’s dimensions, weight, configuration, pickup location, destination and site-access requirements when determining the appropriate transportation solution.
Permit, routing or escort requirements may apply depending on the dimensions of the load and the transportation route. Goch & Sons will review the available information and coordinate the hauling services required for the move.
